A shout out to H.P. Hakin of Feel Purple for nominating me for this challenge which I gladly accept. The gauntlet has been thrown down and I’ll try to pick it up and run with it!
The rules, which are pretty straightforward, are as follows:
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Post a quote for three consecutive days (a quote a day).
- Share why this quote appeals so much to you.
- Nominate three different bloggers each day.
Now, I’m not one to follow rules so I’ll be posting every other day and anyone who reads this and fancies joining in the challenge – just go for it!
I’m a huge fan of poet, writer, critic and satirist Dorothy Parker. I admire her legendary sharp wit and eye for 20th century urban quirks and love (most of) her sassy and irreverent quotations.
Here’s a favourite because it reminds of something similar which my late father used to counsel:-
Never throw mud: you can miss the target, but your hands will remain dirty.
