Happy New Year!

I hope you’ve all had a great time over the holidays, celebrating with family and friends. I’ve been taking a bit of a break from WP so I’ve now got a lot of posts to read to catch up on all of your news.

Neither I nor my beloved are fans of New Year’s Eve celebrations. We’re usually treated to a fabulous local display of pyrotechnics which we can watch from our apartment, providing, of course, I’m still awake!

In the past we’ve celebrated with friends but we do prefer to wallow in splendid isolation, just the two of us. We will be raising a glass of bubbly to usher in the New Year a couple of hours ahead of midnight and enjoying a few oysters.

It just remains for me to wish all of you a happy, healthy, (and where appropriate, bike-filled) and successful 2020.

  1. I’ve never been one to celebrate, either. Sometimes I stay up late and watch the ball drop, but this year I plan to be asleep. 😊 Happy new year!!

  2. Happy New Year to you both too. Those oysters look good…… need a bottle of Chablis though to make them feel at home!

  3. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Let the new one be better than the past year. I wish you dreams come true.
You will probably smile, but I don’t know the taste of oysters. Too luxurious is a delicacy.
