Sunshine’s Macro Monday #32

Like last week’s, these photos were captured on my iPad mini while wandering in the gardens of the Casino de Monte Carlo.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your helpful feedback and kind comments on these posts – most encouraging.

Sunshine’s Macro Monday is a challenge hosted by Irene encouraging us to scrutinise the smallest of details by getting up close and personal and bringing someone or something to life in a photograph. It’s a one day challenge without prompts.  Irene posts a Sunshine’s Macro Monday post each Monday, just after midnight Central Time (US) so don’t forget to use the tag SMM and mention Sunshine’s Macro Monday somewhere on your post, create a pingback or add a link in the comment’s section of her post.

  1. I do love your Macro Mondays and another great selection here.

I have been in those gardens in summer but apparently they are beautiful in Winter too.

  2. Beautiful post and fantastic photos, Sheree. Can’t wait for the first spring flowers to make an appearance. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

  4. Hey Sheree A lovely gallery of flowers and a Gull. Does an IPad mini have a close up function? Maybe you could try to get in close and personal to the flowers if it does. I am sure the Gull would fly away lickerty-split if you got too close. The flower after the Gill is quite macro. I found my phone can’t focus if I get too close. I guess it would be the same with the IPad 🙂

    • Yes, that’s exactly what happens. Sometimes if I edit it looks more macro but often it doesn’t work. I shall have to invest in a small camera. Any suggestions?

      • Most small cameras have great all round functions now-a-days. Depends on what you can afford, what is available and if you know what you would like, talk to a salesperson who has camera experience and knowledge. I like Canon cameras personally

      • I’ll do that, thanks. May do a bit of online research beforehand as all the camera and electrical shops are shut at the moment.
