Ramblings of a retiree in France
We’re ignoring the Italian exclusion zone and popping over into Liguria for a few (more) Italian doors. The Italians do great doors.
Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments’ on Norm’s site, anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American Eastern Time).
I have always found that Italians have a great flair for beauty, for beautiful curves, and this is indeed seen in many aspects of life, from personal elegance to the charm of architecture. Thank you for highlighting this at a time when current news shows something else.

Europe does have wonderful, old doors and lovely brass knockers. My favorite is the hand holding a ball. You must know the style I mean?

I do not recall seeing this page before. I have had a love affair with doors ever since I was small. (We won’t talk about how long ago that’s been!) I’ll be marking this for a return visit, and perhaps even use your idea for my ow blog. Thanks Sheree.

I cannot claim credit for the post. It was started awhile back by Norm 2.0 and it’s a pretty popular challenge but it’s kinda dried up in the last week as people aren’t able to go out and photo doors. I’m only still going strong because I have a door stock but it may not last until 11 May.

Door #4 looks like it belongs on an old military fort.
