Silent Sunday #18

I’ve been flicking through my photo archives and try to find some of my better ones (no easy task). For the next few months, I’ve decided to select a few from those I’ve taken in Australia.

This is from when we spent a few days in Sydney at the start of last year’s #adventuredownunder. The heritage-listed Finger Wharf is now a marina, residential apartments, hotel and restaurants located at 6 Cowper Wharf Road, in the inner city Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo. The structure was designed by Henry D. Walsh and built from 1910 to 1916 and is the longest timbered-piled wharf in the world.

  1. Gorgeous picture. The building on the pier reminds me of the Seattle waterfront. Have your journeys taken you to Seattle? Australia is at the top of my bucket list .

    • No, but it’s on the list as my hubby’s cousin lives there. I also want to return to Australia. I haven’t yet seen Perth.

    • There are loads of restaurants in the wharf, many of which not unnaturally specialise in fish. We ate in a couple of them and they were very good.
