Ramblings of a retiree in France
I’ve been plundering my photo archives and try to find some of my better ones (no easy task!). Iβm picking a few from Australia for the next few months.
Bordered by the Brisbane river, the heritage-listed Brisbane City Botanic Gardens are located on Gardens Point in the CBD. The mature gardens have many rare and unusual botanic species, in particular, a special collection of cycads, palms, figs and bamboo.
I like the spray and the reflection. I like the tree hiding in the reflection.

Lovely picture. Looks very peaceful.
There was a horse in the Kentucky Derby named Sunday Silence. I just thought of it when I saw the name of your article. π

Yes, it did. Sunday Silence. … Sunday Silence (March 25, 1986 β August 19, 2002) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and Sire. In 1989, he won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes but failed to complete the Triple Crown when he was defeated in the Belmont Stakes. He almost won the Triple Crown.
