Ramblings of a retiree in France
I consider myself very fortunate to have been tagged by Mrs T aka Tangie Woods who spreads her love and positivity over at Mrs T’s Corner. Go and check out her blog and give her a follow.
My favorite feeling is being loved by my long-suffering husband. We’ve survived several months in lockdown and I now realise, we will survive his retirement when he’s home underfoot 24/7.
Another favourite, for obvious reasons, is feeling alive. I love life and try to embrace it with very fibre of my being. We’re not here for long and must make the most of it.
I like to say that I’m “never knowingly under-prepared” and I love the feeling when a plan comes together, when everything works ourt pretty much as anticipated.
I love the feeding friends and family particularly when I’ve prepared a meal for them to eat and I can see the enjoyment on their faces.
I love being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. That’s freedom.
I also like being able to help others. My late father always used to say that if you could help someone you should. And, I like the feeling of being able to do that.
I love the feeling of tranquility, particularly in the morning when I can sit and watch the sunrise drinking a mug of hot, strong coffee.
I love the feeling of shared enjoyment and shared laughter, particularly with those who are dear to me. They know who they are.
I also enjoy knowling that I’m treating others as I would like to be treated.
Come on, this is a no-brainer, with no questions to answer all you have to do is list your favourite feelings – as many as you like – and nominate a few bloggers – as many as you like. I hope you’ve had a great weekend and please join in. Sx
I absolutely loved reading this! I could feel you relishing these things as you jotted them down. Hope you get to feel a lot more of all these lovely feelings π

My husband has been working from home since March 17th or so. But working from home is different than being retired. He is basically in his office as if he were at work . . . except he comes out to do dishes. But if he were retired he wouldn’t be in his room. I think it would be totally different. I cannot claim what you did. π

What a sweet list. I think it is just the time to count everything that makes you happy and be mindful of them. Raising my mug of tea to husbands underfoot, to tranquillity, to making lists and all the rest that fall in between. xx
