Ramblings of a retiree in France
This week Sandy has challenged us to show examples of all types of Street Art, defined as Visual Art in Public places. According to this article there are seven different types: Murals, Graffiti, 3D Grafitti, Poster art, Sticker art, Sculptures and Sidewalk Chalk art.
I know I have a few examples lurking in my archives but confess it’s not really my area of interest.
The Thompson Twins in Brussels
Here are some butterflies providing cover for renovation works (I think) in Brisband CBD.
This handsome fellow was found on a wall in Townsville, Queensland.
Here are a couple of examples of Murals. The first one is from Juan-les-Pins and the second from Fayence.
I think these from the Tour de France 2020 count as Street Scupltures.
I’m much enjoying these weekly challenges hosted on alternate weeks by either Amanda or Sandy because they force me to think about what’s in my photo archives and how I might re-purpose them.
If you’ve enjoyed this post, why not join in the fun?
I love street art. I love the one with the umbrella especially.

Very true but this type of art is often difficult to photograph because of traffic

Absolutely love those butterflies – makes a construction site loo beautiful – they should make this a standard thing – decorating sites to disguise them π
