Ramblings of a retiree in France
I frequently post pictures of flowers and I have no idea what to call them but fortunately there’s always someone in the blogosphere way more knowledgeable than me!
I’ve decided to join in with Debbie Smyth‘s One Word Sunday challenge, largely because she sets them well in advance – always an advantage in my book. In addition, she’s a fantastic and inspirational photographer.
Pretty. With all my knowledge I call them: pretty ππ€ͺ

Possibly mock orange but the Head Gardener would need to see the leaves π

They look wonderful. I was hoping that someone would already have identified them since I too have no idea what they are.

I don’t know what they are either. I thought the buds looked like camellias. But the open blooms don’t look like camellias. They are really charming though.

Try Google Lens. It attempts to ID what’s pictured and gives several suggestions. However, it’s not 100% accurate. It told me a lizard on a juniper tree was a pangolin on bamboo. π

Thanks but one of my many readers has already identified the plant.

That’s great! But you may still want to check out Google Lens. I’ve used it for IDing antiques as well as all kinds of plants and birds. π
