Ramblings of a retiree in France
This week Sandy’s challenge prompt is to post photographs of something unusual or UNIQUE that I’ve seen, experienced or read about in my hometown or my travels. I should take (or borrow) a photo and describe what made it UNIQUE to me.
The year to date has been pretty unique. I attended the Grand Depart of this year’s Tour de France in Nice and didn’t see one professional cyclist!
Thanks to the Covid travel restrictions, we were able to enjoy where we live this summer without crowds of tourists. From an economic standpoint, I’m hoping this was a unique situation.
Finally, here’s a gallery of photos from last year when we spent our first (and quite possibly last) Thanksgiving in US.
I’m much enjoying these weekly challenges hosted on alternate weeks by either Amanda or Sandy because they force me to think about what’s in my photo archives and how I might re-purpose them.
If you’ve enjoyed this post, why not join in the fun?
All these photos of Nice with almost no people in them! Unusual and unique for sure.

How odd without people, but calming at the same time. Hopefully before too long there will be visitors returning and we can explore the world again.
