Ramblings of a retiree in France
This week Amanda’s challenge is to post red and green photographs, the traditional colours of the festive season. She advises that the origins of the colour scheme arise from Paradise plays performed in the Middle Ages on Christmas Eve. These plays told Bible stories to people who couldn’t read. The ‘Paradise Tree’ in the garden of Eden in the play was normally a pine tree with red apples tied to it.
It’ll have to be photos from my library as I’m now totally out of storage space!
I’m much enjoying these weekly challenges hosted on alternate weeks by either Amanda or Sandy because they force me to think about what’s in my photo archives and how I might re-purpose them.
If you’ve enjoyed this post, why not join in the fun?
Nice pictures.

fyi… wp’s basic upgrade is overpriced. I’ve been exporting my media library (avail on Admin or Settings) and then deleting my oldest files to free up space.
Apples on a pine tree… LOL!
