Ramblings of a retiree in France
View of Saint-Paul de Vence, which I’ve written about numerous times this year.
Potted history of Saint-Paul de Vence
The House where James Baldwin lived
Today’s accompanying track is from Lenny Kravitz who released this ballad Here to Love in 2019 to raise awareness for the United Nations Human Rights Council’s #FightRacism campaign which I thought was a very fitting way to kick-off my Festive Season.
Kravitz’s song from his Raise Vibration Album (2018) describes a world where humans live alongside each other in peace and love. I think we all want that, don’t we?
We’re not here to judge
We are here to love
There’s no room for hate
There is just one human race
The campaign’s official site describes its motive as:
#FightRacism aims to foster a global culture of tolerance, equality and anti-discrimination. Every day, each and every one of us can stand up against racial prejudice and intolerant attitudes.
Kravitz directed the video which features a diverse cast of people standing briefly in front of the camera before walking off.
Thanks for the Lenny Kravitz song with its great message and inclusive video. It’s on message with his song from the 90s Let Love Rule. : )
