Ramblings of a retiree in France
Didn’t really enjoy this challenge. I gave it a go but most of the « free editors » totally bombarded me with ads and wanted me to give them my credit card details – no way Jose! Also, finger colouring clearly isn’t my thing. Still, you live and learn!
Here’s my only two completed partly-recoloured photos! I can appreciate why Dr B uses two photo editors.
As a way to brighten our weeks, Dr B from Buddha Walks into a Wine Bar is selecting a single theme to point our cameras at or to encourage us to display a few photos from our collections.
If you would like to join Dr B in #challengeyourcamera then here’s what to do:
1. Follow Dr B (link above) to discover the chosen weekly theme.
2. Select or take a few photos related to the week’s theme
3. Post your own photos that week, on any day you like.
4. Include a caption with each photo so we all know what/where it is
5. Include a ping back/link to Dr B’s blog in your post so that he’s notified, can follow you back and can appreciate and comment on your choices.
6. Include the tag #challengeyourcamera
In addition:
1. Dr B will follow you back
2. He will encourage other posters to follow you
3. He will list each blogger in my weekly post
Oh dear! Good effort but sad you had so much problem. I wouldn’t give my credit card details either. There really are plenty of good colour splash apps out there, some manual using your finger or a “pen”, some automatic. Using your finger never really works, but it helps if you work out how to increase the size of your image. You do this by spreading two fingers outwards away from what you want to recolour, so, that cyclists helmet would fill the whole of your tablet screen. The ribs are then almost as wide as a finger and easy to fill. On the other hand, a cheap rubber ended stylus works well, not as fine as digital pencils but they work better than fingers. Still, you’ve had a go at everything so far, would you like to choose a theme/topic for a week on Monday? Send it in my contact page so we keep it secret for a while🤫

So that’s where I was going wrong. Maybe I’ll have another go. Thanks for the helpful advice.

I have spent hours on this already and have still not posted, I hate it when I can’t master something. I agree Sheree all the apps worth having you have to pay for. Anyway will be posting mine soon. Dr B has surely tested my technical skills with this one

After using a lot of the supposedly free photo editors, I discovered you really needed to fork out if you wanted all the facilities and I’m not that into editing.

♡ I AM Surprised Control Freak; as an avid, enthusiastic photographer I Would have THOUGHT!!! You already owned a “Photo Editor”, like PhotoShop, bought and paid for Fair and Square 📷🤑📸

I enjoy playing with photos like that, but like you said they eat you up with ads. My son is a software engineer, and he is always reminding us that “free” stuff is free for a reason.

I think the Bird of Paradise flower is beautiful. I always wondered how they did this.
