Ramblings of a retiree in France
Next up is a batch of doors from another of our summer staycation trips, this time to Fayence.
Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos from around the world. The house with the blue shutters and all the plants and the shelf over the door with a little Scottie dog on it?! I love it. But what is the white thing hanging over the shelf? It almost looks like a small air-conditioning unit.

Those are very interesting doors. I love the split doors at number 7. I had to look around to see where they meet. The one Lois mentioned is also very nice. The big blue arched door that opens right over the storm grate would be a little disconcerting to enter, but it makes a big impact.

Thanks Dan frankly every door in Fayence has a story to tell.

Oh there are some absolute crackers there, I especially like the old door with the letter slot cut into it.

Not in France they’re not but many date back several hundred years

Is door number 2 quite low, or is it just my imagination?

I think it’s because there’s no context
