Ramblings of a retiree in France
Yes, we’re now well into our third week without any office telephone line or internet service. The sad thing is that I have no real idea of when it will be restored. Lots of promises, but zero actions. It’s fair to say that Orange has totally failed to manage my expectations and my life has been put on permanent hold. I don’t feel I can organise anything or commit to anything until it’s sorted.
Take today, for example, we were due to lunch with friends but Orange had scheduled a rdv by phone for 12:00 – 13:00 with their Technical Service dept. This was a rescheduling of a call due the previous day. I cancelled our lunch and waited patiently by the Livebox. No one called. I had to ring Orange and the whole ghastly procedure started again. I now have my next call scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. I feel as if I’m caught up in some Dystopian Groundhog Day.
I feel your pain! I have a connection but it is sooooooo slow. BT have been 4 or 5 times in recent weeks. The last time was a few days ago when the engineer managed to get the speed close to what it should be but I just returned from a day out to find that high speed was short-lived and it is now far worse than it ever was before! Time to send another nastygram to BT!

The service they have provided is ridiculous. Sounds like a nasty letter to the regulatory body that oversees this service, if any, is in order and/or contacting local politicians, consumer complaint bureaus.

💜 I imagine YOU!!! Are Using Free Wi-Fi or other Public Internet Services Control Freak, if so the Silver Lining is that it Gets YOU!!! and YOUR!!! Beloved Out and About a bit more, remember that EveryThing happens for a reason; as a retired techie, and assuming its NOT!!! a National Outage, I Suggest checking EveryThing from the Fibre to The Home Connection and Internet Devices

that’s ridiculous to say the least. And Orange are the same guys that screwed up emergency number calls a couple of days ago in addition to the call to all landlines ! And the CEO is still the CEO ? Where is my guillotine ?

Its the problem of gov control businesses if the time comes to complain you as citizen have no options. I never heard of an incident like this ever cant imagine is just you, they must have a real problem elsewhere. Hang in there I know no internet no life !
