Ramblings of a retiree in France
This week I’m featuring a few new French doors from my recent trips out and about on two wheels.
Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments’ on Dan’s site, anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American Eastern Time).
Love theseπ

These are great doors, Sheree, especially the ones at No. 9 and 7. The craftsmanship in those rich panel doors is amazing,

Beautiful door photos. Thanks to studying French with the Duolingo app, I sort of understood the menus.

even though I have lived in France for 36 years, seing them from afar after 19 years in the US they almost look exotic to me (even though pre-pandemic I used to go to France once or twice a year ) : here we don’t see all those various and interesting doors except some in big cities like NYC or Chicago. In small towns or villages all the doors (and the buildings for that matter) are the same : it’s a pretty standardized country for everything from construction to food to way of thinking to holidays and ways to celebrate those, to life milestones at a precise age, to dating (yes, dating is standardized too) etc.

I love all the quirky things about France, not just their doors.
