Ramblings of a retiree in France
Yesterday and today were both days largely dedicated to work-related matters. We didn’t mind as the weather wasn’t conducive to lazing around, it was rather windy. While my beloved worked yesterday I headed to the Gold and Diamond Park where I was able to commission a bracelet to match a chain my beloved had bought me some years ago. Naturally, I also indulged in a spot of window shopping and mentally spent rather a lot of money! Both days I’ve walked around the DIFC, which is opposite our hotel, admiring its civic sculptures.
I enjoyed dinner with my beloved at a delightful Italian restaurant attached to the nearby Four Seasons Hotel. I was rather surprised at how busy all the restaurants were given it was a Monday evening. Clearly no one in Dubai cooks, they either send out or eat out!
Nice sculptures… is that real grass or astroturf? I can’t imagine the climate works for real grass. 😉

It’s real at the front of the gardens but the rope sculpture is on astroturf
