Ramblings of a retiree in France
Yesterday’s trip to World Expo was amazing even though we didn’t visit that many of the pavillions. I hesitate to mention it but, as full-fledged old age pensioners, our entry tickets were free. Furthermore we qualified for Senior Cards which allowed us to skip the queues and get escorted around on golf buggies. The latter was a step too far and we stuck to shank’s pony.
By far our favourite pavilion was that of Pakistan, Austria won the prize for most bizarre, UAE and Japan vied for the best design while China’s was demonstrably reflective of its economic might.
After a truly amazing Chinese meal last night, we chilled on the beach today over at Palm Jumeirah.
