Ramblings of a retiree in France
I’ve seen today’s artist Jonny Lang a number of times, always in small, intimate venues.
Jon Gordon Langseth Jr. (1981 -), known as Jonny Lang, is an American blues, gospel, and rock singer, songwriter and guitarist. He has five albums that charted in the top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart and has won a Grammy Award for Turn Around.
Lie to Me from his second studio album of the same name was released in January 1997. It was Lang’s big-label debut, released a day before he turned 16.
My second track is from his latest (7th) studio album Signs released in September 2017 from which the song Stronger Together, premiered on Billboard in August. The album was chosen by AllMusic as one of the best blues albums of 2017.
Sadly health issues with his voice have prevented Lang from releasing any further work.

That’s really sad for him to lose his voice! I didn’t know his name, but I saw him in the Blues Brothers 2000 movie. Great music!

I don’t remember hearing this artist before, but I sure like his sound on both of these. Hope his voice problems are just temporary. 🙂
