Ramblings of a retiree in France
My mother was blessed with very green fingers, sadly I am not. Buy me flowers or indeed a potted plant and no bookie would give you odds on how long it’ll last. Many, of course, fall by the wayside on one of my many trips. I water them before I go and return to find them shrivelled and way past any possibility of revival. It’s a standing joke among my beloved and our friends.
However, I absolutely adore flowers in situ and that’s what I’m going to be featuring over the next few months or so. This is a magnificent bush we saw at Chanticleer just outside Philadelphia last summer.
I’ll have to add that to my list too!
